I’ve always been quiet serious about skincare because our skin is our largest organ and needs to be taken care of it the best we can. I also suffer from chronic skin problems, so looking after my skin is something I’ve been doing since I was a kid. Having said that, my skin is far from perfect and I struggle with it daily.
If I didn’t love makeup equally as much as skincare, this blog would entirely about skincare products. True story.
I’m one of those people who constantly washes their hands. It’s not OCD but years of working in a place where it is imperative to wash your hands.
Because of this practice my hands constantly get too dry. The soap provided have a pH balance that’s just a little too harsh for me, so I’m always carrying a tube of hand cream wherever I go.
Although I will never understand why cosmetic companies insist on making products smell like food, I will admit this is probably the only exception where I don’t mind if it does.
I LOVE skincare that smell like citrus. It’s fresh and smells clean – you simply can’t fault it.
These products range from under $15 up to about $40. These also cover a range of skin types and requirements as well.
These are my favourites…

I love finding tags and memes to include on my blog because I find that you get to know me a little better and I’m not so “textbook”. I copied from Natalia’s video on her YouTube channel, which I recommend everyone subscribe to immediately because she does some great reviews on there and is also part of the Lipstick Republic Beauty Squad family.
If you’ve done this tag or plan on doing it, please let me know so I can check yours out.
Enjoy!

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice a day. In the morning, when I wake up and in the evening, usually in the shower. I often do my five minute skincare routine in the evening, which I highly recommend everyone doing.

A lot of other beauty bloggers do empties post, so I thought I’d start doing the same every month.
This year, I am on a spending ban. I want to get my finances in order and I want to finish the crazy amounts of makeup and beauty products I’ve collected over the months.
So… here is my first ever empties post. (There are a lot!)

You guys… it’s the end of January! Can you believe it?! Yep, neither can I. It’s so ridiculous how much time flys.
Not many favourites this month, only because I haven’t bought anything new (Project 100 Pan, in full swing this year) and I’m still trying to use the products I already have.
Anyway, without waffling on too much, here are my favourites for January…

So, here we are at the end of 2012. This year has flown by, hasn’t it?
Lots of great things happened this year; REESEATOMIC.COM.AU turned a year old, got invited to many different special events, took myself to Sydney IMATS for a third time (second year as a Beauty Blogger) and met so many YouTubers and other fellow Beauty Bloggers, as well as many readers.
I thought I’d write a wrap up post for 2012 and bring to you my Top 12 Hit & Misses of 2012. Not all are makeup-related, just FYI.
Thank you all for visiting my blog and following me on Twitter and reading my posts. It is much appreciated!
I hope to see you all again in 2013 for another year of fun, games and all things beauty.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my skin lately. It’s still Winter in Australia and my skin in particular has been struggling.
When my skin starts freaking out like this, instead of adding any more products to help with the breakouts or add any fancy serums, I’m usually one to take it down a notch and keep it really simple. In the last week or so I’ve been using these three products with a hydrating moisturiser.
This is my 5 minute skincare routine for struggling skin and that works for me.
My skin is usually oily/combination, but this is based on dry skin. Mix it up with products that is best suited for your skin.

So… someone is celebrating a birthday in September. Not only does this blog turn a year old, I am also having a birthday on the fourth.
Personally, I don’t like making a big deal of my birthday, but it is the only day of the year where I get whatever I want, when I want.
But having said that I rarely ask for presents. Material gifts particularly because it actually embarrasses me to ask. This year, is no exception, however… the one present that I do want…
I have my heart set on this… READ MORE
