It’s our final week together and I have mixed feelings about all of it. One one hand I am so happy for you that you’re going on a big adventure overseas on your own but on the other hand, I’m sad because it’s me who has to lose you. I know I’ll be far worse this time next week, but I just want you to know that you have my heart forever and no matter where you are in the world, you are still and always will be my best friend.
You’ve been a grumpy little girl this week and I don’t understand why. Maybe you’re like every other female who has a bad week once a month.
Thank you for putting yourself to bed every night at 8pm, just so I don’t have to.
I know you get a little confused about Andre; you want to play with her but you know you can’t. I just warn that you always take precautions when you’re around her because you know even though she’s a little bird, she can kick your butt!
Dear Beach Burrito Company
You are going to make me fat! I am so excited that you’re only a block away from my house and work but honestly… you’re going to tempt me so much! Just like Messina and The Burger Joint. Damn you!
I know I say this every week, but I really miss you.
I had another wonderful week with you. You kept me smiling, laughing, loving and in line. You were my Valentine for another year – I couldn’t ask for anything more.
Please refrain from eating all your food that you are given. Make it last! I don’t want you overweight again and the vet looking at me disapprovingly thinking I’m just this crazy cat lady who overfeeds you.
You’re a crazy bunch of people but you make work so much better and enjoyable.
I missed you a lot this week. Let’s make sure we spend more time together next week please.
Dear The Burger Joint
Why are you so tempting? Your wraps are amazing, your chips are always fried to perfection and your aioli…? I can’t even! If you continue to be so delicious I will get fat and increasingly become unattractive and uncomfortable. I will use as much will power as I have to steer clear from you next week.
I haven’t been to a Beauty Bloggers meet/event in a long time, so when the Michaela from Lather Rinse Repeat put it out to a few of us before Christmas last year, I jumped at the chance to see everyone again and also meet a few people I had conversed with on Twitter whom I was dying to meet.
Although it was a dismal day out, I was looking forward to the High Coffee which was held at the beautiful InterContinental Sydney Hotel.
We ate so much food and drank SO much coffee, I don’t doubt that there must have been at least half a dozen of us still high on caffeine at 2am that following morning – I know that I was!
Here are some photos I took and posted on day. Enjoy!
It’s been another good week for us. I can’t ask for more or less of you this week. I still think you’re the cutest, most handsome man I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
So… you’ve escaped your monthly bath this week because I’ve been busy. But… it will happen in the first spare ten minutes I have on the weekend, you are in that shower getting a bath. Love, your mother.
Dear ADSL2+ service provider
I officially hate you guys. I should have gone with a better service provider, but I am stuck with you incompetent bastards for the next twelve months. You spend more offline or at dial-up speed than actually acting like ADSL2+. Why the hell am I paying you for?
Exciting week! Lots of running around, lots of stuff to see and to be learned, but I’m finally getting it. I also learned my lesson of saying NOTHING at the beginning of a shift; I should have learned from the first time I said, “it looks like a quiet day” – that completely jinx the day and makes it the opposite of quiet. (Sigh). Lesson learned.
I kind of went off the rails this week but next week, it’s back on track. I just thank goodness I didn’t go too crazy and gained weight this week. Thankfully I idled this week, but next week… let’s see some more minuses.
You’ve been the band I’ve listened to death this week. I don’t know why I lost touch with your music, but from the second I started listening to Riot! again I remembered why I loved your music.
I have under estimated you once again. After spending a night by the harbour with the dude, watching the city light up and the boats float in and out of the harbour, I have grown in love with you again. I like that I fall in and out of love with you often; it keeps me on my toes and coming back for more.
Thank you for night at the hotel. I enjoyed eating on the terrace with you, eating zerts in bed and waking up next to you to the sound of Hotel California.
Let’s do it again sometime.
You have been a delight this week. I know you’re getting annoyed that I’m always around but I love that you’re always by my side; whether it be on the foot stool by my computer desk, on the pillow at the head of my bed, or on my lap while I watch TV, you are always there… purring.
Thank you for the laughs this week on Twitter, there hasn’t been a dull moment with you ladies. Thank you for having my back when a certain so-called beauty “guru” blocked me on Twitter, thank you for making rosebud “slave” even more hilarious than I ever could have imagined, thank you for the invites to lunches and thank you for coming with me to see the final Twilight premiere at midnight. I love you all! Thank you so much for being my friends.
Dear former BFF
Don’t make yourself too comfortable. Just because I called doesn’t mean I want to rekindle my friendship with you. You are forever in the arm’s length circle of friends.
Dear maxi dresses
I love that you’re slowing coming back into fashion this season. I particularly like the fact that some of you come with short sleeves this year and not just the generic singlet sleeves. You are possibly the only item of clothing I don’t mind wearing horizontal stripes, too. So look out, I’m moving in for the next one hundred days!
YOU WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME THIS WEEK!
If you’re an Aussie beauty blogger you know about PRIMPED.COM.AU that was started by Zoë Foster many years ago.
Since then things have changed hands and how it’s Yasmine Trollope (née Turker) to take over the reigns of editor.
I was introduced to Yaz’s blog by a friend and fellow blogger Div of Severed Sparkle.
I have to say this blog has been my favourite in the last few weeks because it’s full of healthy vegan food recipes and little beauty tips along the way.
If you you’re not familiar with The Happiness Cocktail I suggest you take a look and follow NOW! You won’t regret it, I promise!
So we’re at the end of the first month of Winter. I’m not sure about everyone else, but I’ve been struggling with dry skin so I can’t get enough of hydrating moisturisers.
I’ve been loving a lot of stuff this month, which is unusual because I’m usually one to stick with what I know. This month I’ve bought a lot of new products and I actually started liking.
Here are my favourites for June…
Last month I really got into DIY art and beauty products. So to get inspiration I flicked through many different blogs for inspiration and came across this one…
This blog has it all! Fashion, DIY, beauty, art, food and decor, and it inspires me to make this website into something just as great.
So, if you’re into that stuff and love it just as much as I do – CHECK IT OUT! It is truly inspiring!
Its the first of the month, so you know what that means… its REESE RAVES for
