So, we’re winding down to the last week of Summer. We’ve had some crazy weather, haven’t we?
As much as I love the sun, I’m not a fan of the heat; I don’t sleep as well (and I’m one of those people who can sleep anywhere quite easily), I don’t like the sticky sweaty feeling and I don’t like how my makeup feels like it’s melting off my face. Summer, a fan. The heat, not so much.
Today I thought I’d share with you my Top 5 products that I loved this Summer…

We’re half way through Summer and it’s been drilled into our minds how important it is to protect our skin from harmful UV rays. As we know the harsh UV rays burns our skin, damages skin that makes us look older and increases your chances of getting skin cancer. No one wants that, so let’s keep our skin happy this Summer.

I’ve road-tested five daily facial moisturises with SPF to make our lives a whole lot easier. Because if you’re like me, always on the run, I don’t have the time to be putting on masses amounts of product everyday.
These are my drugstore picks that should be available in most Priceline stores and chemists and all priced well under $20, so they’re very affordable and also cruelty-free. Pretty sure you’ll be winning this Summer. READ MORE

Summer is on it’s way! Days will get longer and hotter, and a lot of our time will be spent outdoors in the sunshine.
Personally, Summer is one of those seasons where I don’t really bother with makeup too much. When it’s hot, nothing is worse than feeling like your makeup is sliding down your face, even though you’ve applied primer or that you just need to keep bolting the shine off your face.
Summer is the season where I keep makeup to a minimum – and let’s face it… who on EARTH would wear makeup to the beach anyway?
Here are my Top 5 items I’ll be carrying in my handbag this Summer…

Hi everyone! So I know that for Australians our Summer is slowing down and soon we’ll be heading into the colder seasons, but today i wanted to introduce you all to the NEW Butter LONDON Spring/Summer 2012 collection of nailpolishes!
I love Butter LONDON because all their polishes are just flawless! They dry quickly, they’re very smugly named and they’re also animal friendly.
They are a little on the expensive side and by far the toughest to get your hands on in Australia, but they are worth it. I once wore one of their hot pink colours ‘Primrose Hill Picnic’ for a whole month!
So this year these are the colours…

Bossy Boots, Disco Biscuit, Knackered, Slapper, Trout Pout

» ASK REESE: What’s in your handbag? (Summer 2011/12)

Recently I’ve been asked a lot of requests to do a “What’s in your handbag?” post. I’m often really surprised by the big interest of what I carry around with me, but I decided that since everyone was asking I’d deliver.
This post is going under a category I’ve decided to call “Ask Reese” which is my version of a Q & A post.

I promise in the near future I will post “What’s in your makeup bag?” because I’ve also been getting those kind of questions as well but I thought I’d start with this one first.
Enjoy! READ MORE

In Australia its officially Summer, so I apologise well in advance if you’re living in the northern hemisphere and Winter on your side of the world; this won’t be applicable to where you are living.
But an Australian Summer is… well, intense! Depending where in Australia you live, the intensity of the Summer differs. Yep, believe it!
In the “tropical” places like the East Coast – Brisbane (Queensland in general, I think) and Sydney – Summer is extremely humid, so on most days you feel like you’re swimming through the air.
In places like Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart and Perth, the heat is dry and the heat is a little more intense. I’ve lived in a dry heat climate and grew up in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney where its extremely humid in Summer, but I must say I prefer a dry heat over the humidity any day.
In this post I’m going to show you to cater for any sort of Summer weather – dry or humid heat and also be friendly to the environment and save millions of animals lives. There’s 1000 karma points right there! READ MORE
