Hey everyone! I have a small but particularly exciting haul to share.
So, we all know that Urban Decay products are fairly hard to come by in Australia because the company doesn’t directly ship here (which, I should add, really grinds my gears – it should be MANDATORY that all online stores ship worldwide – just sayin’).
Anyway, for months I’ve had these items in my shopping cart and I didn’t buy any of them. But with a recent large pay I decided, stuff it… I’m getting them.
I decided to get three items: the NAKED Basics palette, that everyone in the beauty community raves about. A singular eyeshadow that is a staple in my everyday makeup look and the new NAKED Flushed palette. And YES, there is a general ‘naked’ them to this haul… definitely not on purpose.
PS. If anyone is interested in individual product reviews on this, please let me in the comments below. READ MORE
Today I caught up with Tea from The Ladida for High Tea, a chat and a bit of shopping.
I love catching up with friends, especially Beauty Bloggers because I love to know what product they use and recommend and what events they’re attending or going to.
Although there were discounts on all of my purchases today, here’s the damage from today…
So, I’ve have a $20 Myer Gift Card sitting in my wallet for about… a month, maybe a little longer and I’ve never been too sure what I should spend it on.
I already buy things at A?sop. I don’t like much at Mecca Cosmetica (Yeah, so sue me!). Illamasqua… ehhh, I wasn’t running out of anything in a hurry and I didn’t want to blow $20 on something I already have. I did consider Benefit and Bobbi Brown, but in the end I just couldn’t go past Kit Cosmetics and always wanted to try out the new Soap & Glory products.
One thing I noticed was they didn’t have the Sugar Crush Body Wash and I’m really hoping that Kit get it in soon because it was the first product that got me interested in the brand in the first place.
I was really surprised what I got for $20 + an additional $3-something to make the difference.
This came in the mail for me yesterday and I thought I’d do a quick post of it.
Recently I’ve made a few online purchases and this week I received a couple of them, from Echolife and Lipstick Republic.
Hello my pretties! Here we are on the first day of Spring!
In Sydney we’ve been having perfect Spring weather, but it’s only a matter of time when it starts raining – which is very typical of Sydney Spring weather – just FYI.
I had such a great day today. My best friend in the whole world was in Sydney on a work conference and I was lucky enough to see her the day she arrived and just as she was on her way to the airport to head back to Melbourne. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more!
So what does a girl do when her best friend is in town? WE SHOP! And did we ever! I took advantage of the 35% permanent price drop at Illamasqua and bought a few things.
I got two lipsticks: ‘Eurydice’, which the brightest pink I’ve ever seen – it reminds me of OCC’s ‘Anime’ Lip Tar, and ‘Atomic’, a blue-toned rose. (Of course I had to buy ‘Atomic’ – need I say more?)
The sale guy also pointed me in the direction of the two lip pencils that would compliment the lipsticks too.
And I also picked up the Intense Lipgloss in ‘Frenzy’ which I’ve been eyeing for ages!
I can do a product review on them if anyone is interested.
Went shoe shopping and bought two pairs of new flats and one pair of heels that isn’t too high. (Goodness only knows I don’t walk so elegantly in heels).
We went to Forever New and bought my birthday dress…
We also went to Tiffany’s and Chanel too and picked up a few things there.
In addition to that, I’m also celebrating reeseatomic.com.au‘s 1st birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a year of blogging!
Staying in on Friday nights, instead of having cocktails in bars. Spending hours online watching YouTube videos, researching products, reading about all the latest makeup trends and testing products myself. It’s all been a labour of pure boundless love.
This is why I sit down and write almost everyday; because I love doing it.
THANK YOU to everyone who has subscribed to my blog via BlogLovin, Hello Cotton and my RSS feed. Without my loyal readers and my Twitter followers I wouldn’t have the inspiration to keep doing this. It’s been a great year and I’ve got to meet a lot of great people and talk to others who love makeup too. I can’t wait to meet so much more of you too.
Here’s to another year…
Lately, I’ve been in love with LUSH soaps. I find they’re amazing on the skin and smells good enough to eat.
I picked these three in the last week or so. Two of them have a citrus fragrance to them. I think that’s pretty normal considering I love citrus scented anything!
So, it’s been a while since I went out and bought a whole lots of stuff.
I had made a small list of a few things I wanted to check out, sample before I buy and if they were good enough purchase.
There were also a few things I found along the way but thought I’d wait to buy another time.
This what I recently bought…
Let me know if you’re interested in a product review for any of these.
I’m sure anyone would be excited about getting their little paws on this too…
